How do I get started on ArtworkBid.com?Welcome! The first step is registration. Just click the Register link at the top right of the site to get started. You need a valid email address, a unique username and a password. Usernames can only be numbers and letters; no funky characters or spaces are allowed. You have to click on the registration confirmation link from the email you have received when you have registered with our site in order to activate your account. Since ArtworkBid.com is an e-commerce site, all buyers and sellers must be over the age of 18 (or have parental permission and supervision). You also need to familiarize yourself with our rules in the Terms and Conditions before registering. Once you're registered, please consult our Help resources for more info. Can I change my username? Your username cannot be changed except in the event of documented legal action (such as trademark infringement). Please consider your username carefully before registering.
Why can't I sign in? You cannot sign in if your account is not active. When you first register with ArtworkBid.com, we send you a confirmation email. You just need to click the confirmation link in that email to get started.
Where is my confirmation email? I don't think I got one! Check your junk email or spam folder. It may have ended up in there. To prevent this in the future, you can add admin@artworkbid.com and cs@artworkbid.com to your address book or safe list. In extreme cases you might have to turn off SPAM filters. If you need to resend the email, try to log in with your username and password and click the “Re-send Activation Email” link.
I can't remember my password, what should I do? Click the “Lost Password and/or Login Name? Click here” link on the “Login to Members Area” page. I can't remember my username, can I still sign in? Click the “Lost Password and/or Login Name? Click here” link on the “Login to Members Area” page.
If I forgot my username and/or password and/or email address, what can I do? In this case, you'll need to contact Support and ask for help. Keep in mind we'll need some way for you to prove ownership of the account. If you've lost all your information, you'll have to register a new one.
How do I change my password? If you are able to sign in ArtworkBid.com, go to MEMBERS AREA , click on “Personal Information” under “My Account” and type in your new password in the Create Password field. How do I become a seller on ArtworkBid.com?Firstly you need to register to become a member. Then you can choose to list your item on the main site or in your shop. Who can be a seller and can kids have their own stores?Anyone who is at least 18 years ago can be a seller on ArtworkBid.com. Check out the Terms and Conditions. What items can I sell on ArtworkBid.com?You can sell any creation that is made for artistic. Photography, carving, ceramics, painting, prints, sculpture, drawings etc. are all welcome. All items must be handmade. We also allow some non-handmade items in supplies categories, which must be the materials for making artworks. We have specific categories for suppliers to list their items. What items can't I sell on ArtworkBid.com?
ArtworkBid.com is a marketplace for handmade items and crafting supplies. We do not allow selling items that are no related to Artwork. Illegal items are not allowed. Check out the detailed rules and a list of other prohibited items. Items not in compliance with our policies may be unlisted by ArtworkBid.com Admin. What items are prohibited? You may not list the following types of items on ArtworkBid.com: - Alcohol
- Tobacco
- Drugs
- Pornography
- Firearms and/or weapons
- Recalled Items
- Real estate
Motor vehicles (automobiles, motorcycles, boats, etc.) Additionally, a seller may not list any item that violates the seller's local laws, including shipping restrictions.
What items are regarded as mature content? - Mature content is defined as: sexual activity or content, profane language or graphic violence.
- Items containing mature content must be listed in “mature” category.
- The first thumbnail image should be kept appropriate for general audiences; additional images in the listing may show the item in its entirety.
- Artful representation of the nude human figure is allowed. The context of the nudity determines if it is a mature content item.
Items are subject to review on a case-by-case basis. If ArtworkBid.com evaluates the content to be mature, you will be asked to edit the listing to comply with these policies or remove the listing entirely. Can I customize my store?Yes, you can customize the appearance of the store and the categories used within it and include detailed information about their business and their stock. I'm in Canada, or the UK or anywhere else in the world besides the US – can I sell on ArtworkBid.com?Yes, you can sign up wherever you are. We have members all over the world.
Does my username have to match my store name?You can have a different store name. It is not necessary for the store name to match with the username. Can I close my account to start a new one with a different username?Yes you can. Note that you'll lose all data (including feedback, hearts, and items sold) when doing this. Contact Support to close an account.
Can I have more than one shop?A person may have more than one account. There are certain policies you must adhere to, including full disclosure of ALL your usernames in the profiles of each account. Additionally, your actions under one username will apply to all your accounts. So if you break the rules, the consequences affect you across the board. How do ArtworkBid.com fees work?When you list an item there is a $0.01(USD) fee per quantity of one. This covers an item listing period of seven days. When an item sells, there is a 3% fee on the final sale price (not including shipping). All fees are in US dollars. All listings are created equal, with 5 images included in the price. More information about ArtworkBid.com’s fees can be found the “Site Fees” How am I billed for fees associated with selling? At the end of each month we will email you an invoice detailing all the charges. You can also pay your fees any time after a bill is issued by going to: Members Area > Manage Account. You can clear your bill by clicking the link Clear Account Balance. (Notes: You cannot clear the balance if your debit is below US$1.)
How do I pay my bill?
Sign in ArtworkBid.com and go to Members Area > Manage Account. You can clear your bill by clicking the link Clear Account Balance. (Notes: You cannot clear the balance if your debit is below US$1.)
Can I pay my bill with my PayPal account directly, without signing into ArtworkBid.com?No. You must pay your bill by signing in to ArtworkBid.com and going to go to Members Area > Manage Account. You can clear your bill by clicking the link Clear Account Balance.
Is there a minimum amount I must owe ArtworkBid.com before I can pay my bill? Yes. The minimum amount is $1. You must own ArtworkBid.com more than $1 before you can pay your bill. If you are billed $0.20, you cannot pay your bill. Is there a fee to get started (open a Store)?Registering for your store is free. The amount of monthly fee depends on the number of items list on the store. Please refer to “SITE FEES” page for details.
If I edit an item, is there any fee for that?
You may edit an item (description, photos) as many times as you like. You will only be charged for fee if you have selected a new charge features. The amount of fee that has been added to your account will be shown after you finished editing. You can cancel the transaction by clicking on the “Rollback Transaction” link.
What if I have a question about my specific bill?
Please contact us by email with questions about your personal bill. How do I feature items in my store?First, you have to input the number of featured items that shows on your store. Log in ArtworkBid.com with your user name and password, then click on “Members Area” tag, then click on “Stores Pages” and enter the number of store featured items. Your items will be feature on the first page of your store.
What happens when a featured item sells?
It's either replaced by an alternate featured item or the space is left blank.
What are Categories?
All items are placed in a category of your choice when listed in an online auction or as a store item.
Are my store categories related to the ArtworkBid.com site categories?Nope. You get to name and organize your own. If you want to list your item in the general auction listings as well as in your store, you may prefer to use the standard categories that are available.
What is the store description?
It's a bit of descriptive text you can add to further customize your shop. What is the store meta keywords? You should enter relevant keywords for your store here – words that people might search for if they were looking for the kind of items you sell.
What are feeds? ArtworkBid auction information is available through Rich Site Summary (RSS) alerts or feeds, which will allow you to see auction summaries without having to check ArtworkBid daily for updates.

Log in ArtworkBid.com, go to “Members Area” and click on “Personal Information”. You can input your setting under Direct Payment Settings. Can I select different Forms of Payment for each listing?
Yes, you can select different forms of payment for each listing. How do I view the listing expiration dates? Log in ArtworkBid.com, go to Members Area and click on open auction. You can your item's start time and end time where end time is your listing expiration date. Can I make an expired listing active again?
Yes. This is called relist. Log in ArtworkBid.com, go to Members Area and click on Close Auction. Check the box next to the item you want to relist and select how long (days) you want this listing to last, then scroll down and click the Proceed button. I'm having trouble uploading pictures, can you help?Ensure that the file is 500k in file size or below – most users will timeout before uploading larger files than that. Ensure the file is a properly encoded .jpg, .gif. Is there a firewall that could be blocking your uploads? This might be the case if you work for a large and/or slightly paranoid company and you're trying to upload from work. Try to alter your firewall settings or take the firewall down briefly to test the transfer. What file format can I use for my photo?
The following file extensions are valid: .jpg, .gif. What is the largest file size ("k size", mb) allowed for my photo? It can be up to 2mb, though that is rather huge. Most images should be around 500k.
What resolution should my photo be?
Every image on the web is displayed at 72dpi (dots per inch). Anything greater than that will create very large file sizes without adding anything to the quality. Should I use CMYK or RGB for my listing photos? (What do these mean?)
You should use RGB, which stands for Red/Green/Blue. CMYK is only for print (and stands for Cyan/Magenta/Yellow/Black). CMYK images will not work on the web. You can change the color mode of your images to RGB using an image editing program. (Most photos from a digital camera will already be in RGB mode.) What happens after I sell an item? The item's quantity is automatically reduced by the number that were sold, and will show up in Your Members Area > Sold Items. ArtworkBid.com send an email to notify both the buyer and seller. You can also go to Member Area > Sold Items to send invoice to the buyer, leave a message to the buyer or drop down the bank detail information.
How do find a record of Items sold?All your sold items are located in Members Area, Sold. How do I contact the buyer?You can find the contact information in the Members Area > Sold page. You can communicate with the buyer by using the message board system.When do I get paid by the buyer? Most buyers will pay right away, especially if paying via PayPal. If the buyer is sending payment by mail (such as a check or money order), they should contact you to make arrangements and notify you when payment will be sent. If you haven't heard from the buyer, you should politely contact them with a reminder.
How do I get paid by the buyer? In whichever of your accepted payment methods they specified when making the purchase.
How do I determine my accepted methods of payment? For each item you list, you specify which payment method you offer for that item. How do I invoice a buyer? You can send an invoice to your buyer in Members Area > Sold Items > Send Product Invoice. For the buyer, they can view the invoice in Members Area > Won items > View Product Invoice.
How to bid?You can shop in Artworkbid for your favorite arts & crafts. Get started using these steps: 1.Find an item.
Enter keywords into the search box located at the top of any page, or browse through our list of categories on the home page. 2.Learn about the item you found.
Read the item description carefully. If you have any questions about the item, you can type your question under the column of "Ask seller a question". 3.Review the seller's Reputation Rating.
View the seller’s business reputation by looking at his or her Rating, and read the comments left by previous buyers to be sure that this is a seller you feel you can trust. 4.Bid or Buy Out.
Check the item page to see what purchase options are available. You can either place a bid on an item or purchase it instantly using Buy Out. Remember, all bids are active until the auction ends. If you win a listing, you’re obligated to complete the transaction. 5.Pay for the item.
After you've won or bought the item, send your payment to the seller within three days. If you want to pay with one of the direct payment methods offered by the seller, click the “Pay With Direct Payment” button on the item page or email notification. Otherwise, the seller will let you know how and where to send your payment. If you're picking up the item, you can pay by any method the seller accepts (including cash).
Can I sell Mammoth Ivory? The sales of items derived from mammoth ivory are allowed in ArtworkBid. You may offer these items for international or domestic sale. If you ship your item internationally, you still may be at risk that your item will be mistaken for a restricted ivory, such as Elephant Ivory. Customs officials are suspicious of items described as Mammoth Ivory, for example, and in some case may decide to delay your shipment, or even confiscate the item. Sellers ship their items at their own risk of confiscation or loss for any reason. ArtworkBid assumes no responsibility for the loss of your legal items for any reason. How I sell restricted ivories?Restricted ivories that are listed in the CITES International treaty because they are/were considered items derived from endangered species. Many countries comply with CITES treaty and also has specific Federal laws pertaining to the commerce of these items. It is beyond scope of this website to explain in full detail the specific laws and penalties for violations for each type of ivory. ArtworkBid is not advising members on any of these laws and accepts no responsibility for misinformation or the misunderstanding of this page. Sell and buy at your own risk.
Can I sell Elephant Ivory?Items derived from African Elephant Ivory (AEI) are restricted by the CITES treaty. The CITES treaty includes African Elephants on their endangered species list, therefore, the import and export of AEI is highly regulated. Sellers may offer any item derived from Pre-CITES AEI that is inside the same country only. You may not offer AEI for export outside your country. You may not offer AEI requiring the importation of the item into your country.
Failure to comply with our listing restrictions may result in: (1) the cancellation of your listing(s); (2) temporary suspension of your account; (3) permanent suspension of your account; (4) ArtworkBid may report law breakers to the appropriate authorities. |
